Raising Aggies

Got a little story for you Ags...

After our vacation, Adam returned ever more obsessed with the Aggies. But now he has a little partner in crime. His little brother is also quickly picking up on the lingo and fun of being an Aggie.

Adam found this adorable drum at Abba's house and thought it only appropriate to hold a March-In of sorts.

And yes... that is Zachary leading the band with his fly swater-

Upon logging in to write this post I was letting Zachary look at some pictures and asking who was in them. I got to this picture which is one of the few with me in it.
Zachary has been calling me Daddy lately, so I was curious what he would say when he saw a picture of me. He yelled-- "Mommy" and I was so excited. He pointed and said, "Adam" and I said, "yes".
But when he pointed to Kason in the picture and said...
"Caneck Caneck"
I had to laugh!

Thankful Hearts

We do our Christmas sibling and cousin gift exchange at Thanksgiving every year. This year we had Thanksgiving at Taylors and it was wonderful.

It was a nice relaxing Thanksgiving... no worries, no fusses... just enjoying one anothers company. The boys played some games.

The girls took pictures.

And the kiddos were just kiddos.

It was a simple day... but in being simple it was remarkable.
I believe we all too often let life pass us by and fail to take in and treasure the simple moments. I know that I have of lately been too busy trying to get to "what's next" that I have failed to look around me and be thankful for the "right now".
In years to come I will probably not remember what I got for Christmas this year, but I will surely never forgot the way my heart swelled at the sight of a grandmother reading her grandson a book.

These are the moments I treasure...

This is what family is for...

This is what life is all about...

These are the smiles I will never forget...

And this is what I am thankful for...

Two for One (part 2)-- Texas

The second game we got to attend on our Thanksgiving break... Texas! I always love this game. It is a fun rivalry we have with Texas and I always enjoy hanging out with the Texas fans and doing some humorous friendly jeering.

It isn't an Aggie game if Kason's paparazzi doesn't show up.

Big family = Big love

Justin was all about giving out some kisses. This one was a little strange.
This one was more appropriate.

Sisters!

Scared ya or is that your typical look?

I am SO proud of you little brother!

Zachary was loving the personal assitance he was getting from his cousin.

These two are always either side by side exploring together (or fighting). They so happened to be being nice to each other during this brief moment.

Dad got tickets to the game and MOST of us got to attend. Taylor so graciously offered to watch all the kids while we went to the game. I personally think she is crazy... 7 kids (4 that are 2 and under)... she has got to be off her rocker! But she talked us into it and we were super excited to be able to attend the game.
The game was fairly decent. Although I thought we would surely lose, we actually gave the Texas team a fight and we were up against them a few times.

And now forming on the North End of Kyle Field... It was an honor and treat to be able to watch my baby brother perform his last half-time performance at Kyle. The half time performance by the Aggie band was as always the highlight and an unbeatable performance.

Although we ended up falling short on points when the clock ran out, there was some scoring going on throughout the game and a good time was had by all.

And a good time was had by the kids as well. We arrived home to find the kiddos all tired out.

Well, except for Ballerina who was doing a little coloring.
