Adam is not so thrilled with cokes. We have told him they are "Daddy's cokes". Even when Gigi tried to give him some Sprite, he wasn't too keen about it. Not only is he a picky eater, but he is a picky drinker too. (at least not liking Coke is one dislike that I am okay with).

Zachary on the other hand...well the pictures say it all! I'm sure your aunts and uncles, Gigi and K-Dan will be so proud Zach!

A "tub" of fun

Mommy, Mommy... Pizza, Pizza (and ice cream and green beans too)

We had a brief stint of nice warm weather (i.e. one day), so I stopped last week and got some Mickey Dee's ice cream with Adam. It was grand, messy fun!

And then, with several work deadlines looming right now (hence the lack of posting recently).... it was a pizza Friday once again. Adam was excited that the doorbell actually DID mean "pizza, pizza" this time!Unfortunately Zachary wasn't able to eat any of the pizza (although he did gnaw on the crust for a little bit). He did, however, get to eat some very yummy green beans!

The funny things he says

Adam is talking more and more now, and although at times I am the only one who can actually understand him, there are other times when what he says is quite clear... and quite funny.

Take these situations from the past couple of months for example--

Adam was changing into his nightgown and had been wearing a red shirt. As he took it off it got stuck on his head. He looked in the mirror and loudly exclaimed: "I'm Santa!"

After a long week, one Friday I told Joe I was tired and just to order some pizza. We all know this is Adam's favorite food. The next day, the cleaning ladies came to clean up the house and rang the doorbell. Adam came running around the corner screaming: "Mommy, mommy... pizza, pizza!" (He was pretty disappointed that it wasn't the delivery guy.)

Because Adam refuses to eat vegetables and suffers the consequences, we at times result to giving him prune juice to "help him out". Last weekend I was packing the boys bag so we could go run some errands and grabbed some purple Gatorade. Adam got a horrified look on his face and said: "Mommy, no! The other one." I didn't think I had understood him right as I had never heard him say this before and he loves Gatorade. But I took the purple one out and stuck some red Gatordae in, at which time he calmed down. As we were leaving Adam pointed up to the purple Gatorade on the counter and said "That's nasty." (Yep, he thought it was the prune juice!)

Adam was sitting in a corner pretty quiet the other day and eventually came up to me with a booger on his finger. He asked: "What's that?" I said "Ewww, gross that's a booger. Go throw it away." Last night I was changing Zachary and Adam comes running up to me. He shoves his finger in my face, and in a proud manner exclaims: "Mommy, see, booger!"

I can't wait to hear what he will say next! :)

Irish Blessings

Hello everyone! Happy St. Patty's Day!!

Today started out a little rough. After a long night of little sleep, I overslept and was late getting to work. But God has a plan, and by oversleeping I did get to stop in as Adam started his new day in his new "pre-school" classrom. Wow! I can't believe he is already preschool age. However, he was not as thrilled as I was about being dropped off in his new classroom. He had just started getting used to and excited about going to school now that one of his favorite teachers was back in his classroom, and then we switch things on him and move him to the "big boy" room. And although today was a little rough, I do think that he is going to do well and can't wait to see all he learns. Zachary also seemed to have a rough morning, as his teachers said he was fussing quite a bit... there must have been some kind of brotherly bond thing going on.
But tonight we were ALL smiles!
We had a great dinner of corned beef hash, cabbage, black-eyed peas, potatos. Well that's at least what I had. Everyone else opted for the second choice... pizza.

Then it was some hanging out before heading to bed.

Adam being a ham and putting on a show for Zachary who thinks his brother is hysterical.
Kisses!!
And one last crazy thing from Adam before going to bed... driving his "car"... otherwise known as the frame to the bassinet (I finally faced the fact that Zachary had outgrown the bassinet and broke it down and took it apart this past weekend.)

Now we are sitting down and watching some Idol. The day may have started out rough... but it turned out great... and all's well that ends well!

These two hearts

Happy Anniversary to a great father... my best friend... my soul mate... the love of my life.

I don't tell you often enough how very much I love you and how happy I am to married to you.

Sun Day

This past Saturday the snow had melted and the sun was shining. We took advantage of the beautiful weather to get out of the house again. This time we didn't need to bundle up too much.

We headed down and walked along the Potomac river. No place we had to be, no time limits, no real plans... just having fun as a family.

We saw some ducks--They had some parrots out on the boardwalk. They are my favorite bird! I wanted to take one home with me.
Zachary is starting to sit on his own! Of course Joe was standing right behind him just to make sure... Me and My Boys!

Daddy and Son (I love these pictures!)

We told Adam to pet the deer. He wasn't quite sure why, but did it anyways.
Then he gave us a look like we were really weird!
Adam LOVED climbing the trees.
My beautiful little boy--
More tree climbing. We had to fight with him to get him to go. He wanted to stay and climb trees all night. On the way back to the car we saw a man playing water glasses...And a horse (or perhaps it is actually a donkey, but we just called it a horse)...

What a great day!!

FYI: It's Friday, and it's snowing again today. It doesn't look like its going to be a big snowfall like the last one, but this weather is driving me nuts! Snowing and 20 degrees, to sunny and 80 degrees, and then back to snowing again- all in a matter of a couple weeks. Crazy!
