What's Worse: Dentist or Scary Clown Helium Tank

Adam had his first dentist visit today! Since he doesn't like being weighed at the doctors and hates getting a haircut- I was dreading the appointment. He did quite well and I throughly enjoyed having a "Mommy and Adam" morning... even if it was to visit the dentist.
First Adam played and read some books in the waiting room. They even had a Ms. PacMan game like Gigi has at her house. We were not so excited about leaving the Ms. PacMan game when we were called back!

Adam sat in my lap and the dentist checked his teeth first. Adam was somewhat crying but the wall had lots of pictures on it to distract him a bit. And surprisingly he didn't wiggle to much which is what I was most afriad of! Adam got a good report on his teeth and then it was time for the cleaning. Adam cried a little more for this process but the technician was great.

For being so good Adam got a toothbrush and sticker. They asked if he would like a balloon and I of course said yes. He picked out an orange one and handed it to me to blow up. I passed it to the receptionist and said that she would blow it up. That's when she put the balloon on the scary clown helium tank and turned the knob. At the sight and sound of this Adam burst into a fit of tears and ran and jumped in my arms. The receptionist felt so bad and tried to give him some water to calm him down... but the dental technicians yelled at her saying that he can't have anything to eat or drink for 30 minutes. She felt just awful and I thought she might just break into tears as well! :)

Once we got to the car Adam decided that he liked that balloon after all!

Big Shoes to Fill

While Daddy went to see the new James Bond movie with friends... Adam tries out his shoes.

One thing I love about living up North is experiencing all the seasons. I love the fall when all the trees turn vibrant colors and the leaves fall. I think it is so beautiful. Joe is annoyed by having to rake the leaves, but I just want to jump right in and get pictures!

All of God's glory...
The amazement of a child...
A beautiful sight...

Just too funny

Adam likes to try out the baby gear...I think it would be better if the BABY was in the BABY carrier! :)

Rolling, rolling, rolling

Zachary is rolling over!! Sunday afternoon I put him down on his stomach to play and went to let Major out... when I came back... he was on his back! I rolled him back over to see if he would do it again. And flip- there he went as if it was no big deal. The doctors told me that I was going to have to keep an eye on him as he is a mover and shaker, but I had no idea he would already pick up this trick! I went to grab the camera so I could get his rolling feat in pictures but of course he would not perform for the camera and decided that he was tired of rolling over for the day. I am so proud of you little Zachary! You are amazing and I love you very much!

Tricks and Treats

We had a fun time this Halloween with our little chicken and egg. The evening started with Zachary's 2 month check-up. He now weighs 12.5 pounds and is in the 75th percentile. My little angel bear is growing up so quickly and right before my eyes! I felt bad about him having to have shots on Halloween, but he did well.

After the doctor we headed home and got ready for all the ghoulish festivities. Adam was not so sure about dressing up at first and was a little frightened of all the scary people in masks. When a neighbor rang the doorbell he ran in fear and would not come out from around the corner. We were not so sure how trick or treating would go with him knowing that he was so scared... but once he figured out that he was getting candy... he was all about wearing his costume and going up to the doors- whether there were scary people in masks or not! After visiting our neighbors we headed down to the block party that is held each Halloween. There Adam broke into his chocolate!
By the end of the night the boys (and I) were exhausted and went straight to bed. Happy first Halloween Zachary!
