Dancing in no time

My mom went in for hip replacement surgery this past Tuesday. I know that she was so nervous about the operation and when I got a call bright and early from my dad Tuesday morning saying that she was already out of surgery and in recovery... I was amazed. Amazed that she actually went through with it, amazed that it went so well, amazed that she was already in recovery. But why should I be?!? I should have had more trust in my mom and more faith in God- for He will look after us and give us strength beyond our comprehension.

Yesterday my mom called to say she was home and doing well. I know she is in pain and won't be entering a dance competition anytime soon-- but she will be dancing in no time. And until then I will sing and dance for her in praise of God's mercy and blessings in our lives.

Mom- I am so proud of you! You amaze me!

Dance... dance wherever you may be... I am the Lord of the Dance said He. And I'll lead you all, wherever you may be, and I'll lead you all in the dance said He.

Pets, Ice Cream and Big Balls

Last Thursday I left work a little early for another doctor appointment. According to the doctor, everything is "normal" which is always a good thing to hear! The baby is moving around more and more now and it is such a fascinating feeling. Truly a miracle.

The doctor appointment didn't take too long, so I was able to pick up Adam a little early. It was a beautiful day and I decided to take advantage of some time with my kiddos. Adam and I went to the dollar store to see if there were any good summer finds, then since the pet store was in the same shopping center, we stopped by to see the animals. And of course we couldn't pass up sharing some ice cream since that was right next to the pet store! After some good chocolate brownie fudge that I am sure neither of us needed- we headed off to find a "big ball" that I promised Gigi I would get for Adam (since he had so much fun with one in Texas).

Times like this are what life is all about!

I love my new ride

Somtimes you just gotta face the facts... and get a "mom" car! :)

My Crazy Kid

Joe called me into Adam's room last night to look at what he was doing. This is what I found...

Adam "riding" his diaper pail!

A Beautiful Mother's Day Weekend

This week has been sooo busy that I haven't had a chance to blog about my great Mother's Day Weekend. It started Thursday when Joe brought home the most beautiful violet tulips for me as a Mother's Day surprise. It truly warmed my heart!

Friday Adam and I flew to Texas for a surprise visit. Brad concocted a great story of why he and Ragan needed to go to the airport AND bring their new carseat with them. I don't know why Ragan didn't put two and two together, but she HAS been a little ditzy lately! (JK-- I still love ya Ragan). Adam and I spent the night at their beautiful new house-- Brad tried some of their baby toys out on Adam. Adam was not so happy about this. He tried to tell Uncle Brad that he is NOT a baby anymore!

Saturday we all met up at Taylor's house for a Mother's Day celebration luncheon/ baby shower. When Ragan came in with Adam, Kason exclaimed "that looks like Adam, what did you do ship him?" Classic! My mom was utterly surprised by our visit as well. She cried her eyes out when Ragan came out the door holding Adam. It is really hard to keep secrets in our family, but I think we did a good job!

We all had some great food (Justin makes the best cheese dip) and made brup cloths for the new babies coming in the next few months. Our family just keeps growing and growing!

Then we headed off to Kason's final review. Adam loved running around the Quad and Kyle Field with his cousin Grayson (he was less amused with his cousin Ella). And Kason is now a white belt! We are so proud of him and all his accomplishments!

Sunday was a joy... ice cream, swimming, and just hanging out with the ones we love. And then Monday we had lunch with Nana before heading back home. It was a great time... thank you to everyone!
